Manager/ Senior Manager Taxation
Key responsibilities
Direct
Tax
Compliances
- Ensuring compliance to TDS for the group entities, includingfiling of tax returns, computing tax liabilities and ensuring timely deposit with government authorities.
- Assistance in filing of Income Tax return for group entities.
- Filing of Form 61A for specified financial transactions.
Indirect
Tax
Compliances
- Ensuring compliance to GST Laws for the group entities, including filing of tax returns, optimization of input tax credit, computing tax liabilities and ensuring timely deposit with government authorities.
Transfer
Pricing
Compliance
- Assist in devising transfer pricing strategies, coordinate with tax consultants from Big 4s for benchmarking throughtransfer pricing
studies.
Litigation and Assessment
- Appear before tax authorities and makerepresentations in connection with tax proceedings.
- Drafting responses against tax notices and coordinate with tax consultants in drafting and filing appeals
Tax Planning and taxoptimization
- Carrying out tax planning, devising optimum tax strategies including assessment of tax impact of group structure and capital structure and assist leadership in decision making
Others
- Analyze and assess the impact of recent tax amendments including changes proposed in finance bill and keep the leadership posted about such impact.
Non-negotiable Technical Skills And Abilities
- Qualified Chartered Accountant: 4-6 years of post-qualification experience
- Fully conversant with the provisions of Income Tax Act, GST Act.: Working knowledge of Income Tax Laws and GST Laws.
Persona/Behavioural competencies
- Strong communication: Prior experience of representing before tax authorities
- Drafting skills: Prior experience of drafting replies to notices issued by the tax authorities
Education And Experience Required
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 4-6 years of post-qualification experience. Candidates with prior working experience with any Renewable Energy company would be preferred.
