Role & responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic legal professional with strong business acumen and a client-centric mindset to support Group Life & Health Insurance Benefits and Group Retirement Services across multiple geographies. This role involves strategic legal support, contract analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret contracts including MSAs, SOWs, IT security, data protection, and outsourcing agreements
• Provide legal support for distribution, marketing, consulting, and strategic engagements
• Collaborate with legal teams across North America and Asia
• Review privacy provisions and advise on compliance and risk
• Structure client transactions for optimal legal and business outcomes
• Develop internal legal toolkits, playbooks, and guidelines
• Represent the organization in client negotiations and manage contract workflows
• Utilize contract management software effectively
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and inclusion

• Ability to manage change and operate under pressure
• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and privacy laws (e.g., OSFI, PIPEDA)

• Must have prior corporate experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a plus
