Job Title: Manager – Sales & Business DevelopmentVertical: RMC and Aggregate

Department: Sales & Marketing

Location: Bhubaneswar with travel

Reports To: General Manager – Sales / Business HeadJob


Purpose:

To lead sales initiatives across key customer segments—project sales, captive bulk sales, and new market development—for the Aggregates and RMC vertical. The role demands proactive business development, revenue growth, client retention, and market expansion while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:1. Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Drive overall revenue growth by executing strategic sales plans for aggregates and RMC.


  • Develop segment-specific approaches for:

  • Project Sales: Engage with large infrastructure, real estate, and government projects.

  • Captive Sales: Coordinate with big infra project teams and group companies to create captive deals

  • New Market Creation: Identify and develop untapped regions or industries.


2. Business Development

  • Identify and onboard new clients—contractors, infra developers, EPC firms, etc.

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts and influencers (architects, consultants, project managers).

  • Maintain strong industry intelligence and monitor competitor activities.


3. Revenue & Pricing Management

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across product categories and geographies.

  • Develop pricing strategies based on market dynamics, input costs, and competitor benchmarking.

  • Monitor customer-wise profitability and payment collection cycles.


4. Market Expansion

  • Plan and launch operations in new geographies.

  • Work with logistics and plant operations teams to ensure serviceability and cost-effective deliveries.

  • Conduct feasibility and demand studies in target locations.


5. Coordination & CRM

  • Align closely with operations, logistics, and quality teams to ensure order fulfillment.

  • Implement CRM systems and maintain accurate sales funnel reporting.

  • Conduct regular client feedback sessions for service improvement.


6. Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of territory sales managers or executives.

  • Set performance benchmarks and monitor team KPIs.

  • Drive a performance-driven culture with accountability.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate in Civil / Mechanical Engineering; MBA in Marketing or Business preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of B2B sales experience with at least 3 years in Aggregates, RMC, or Building Materials industry.


Knowledge Areas:


  • Understanding of concrete and aggregate grades, construction cycles, and client needs.

  • Knowledge of logistics, pricing models, and credit management.

  • Tech Skills: Proficiency in Excel, CRM tools (Zoho, Salesforce), SAP (SD Module) preferred.
