The Impact You'll Make
As our Deputy Manager Production, You'll play a critical part in driving operational excellence in the AC Drives manufacturing area across all three value streams. By leading production teams and coordinating shift operations, the Production In-Charge ensures consistent delivery of high-quality products on schedule. Through effective supervision and proactive problem-solving, the role fosters a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement—ultimately contributing to enhanced productivity, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
-  Monitor processes to ensure achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets.
-  Develop and optimize operations within allocated budgets for tools, materials, and expenses.
-  Support new projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
-  Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations (e.g., security, medical clinic, cafeteria, human resources).
-  Maintain electronic records and provide timely reports on turnover, production, attendance, and discipline control.
-  Collaborate with management to identify and address training needs for personnel and the production area.
-  Plan and execute shifts efficiently by coordinating resources and materials.
-  Ensure compliance with quality management systems and ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001).
-  Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to minimize disruptions.
-  Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) exercises and result oriented demonstrations of productivity improvements
-  Coach production associates on lean techniques/tools and facilitate lean events.
-  Maintain and execute a continuous improvement (Kaizen) action list.
-  Lead problem-solving analyses (e.g., 5 Whys, 4 Steps, 8Ds) and tactical implementation plans (TIP).
-  Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders and ensure alignment with SIOP plans.
-  Lead by example, demonstrating accountability for improving shopfloor operations.
-  Maintain and update the skill matrix for production associates.
-  Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
-  Facilitate the professional development of production team members 
 
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Production).
- 8 to 13 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience in automotive or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) is preferred.
- Experience in deployment of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) & Total Quality Management (TQM)
- Results-oriented with a demonstrated leadership style.
- Proactive, organized, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Tamizh (preferred).
- Willingness to provide factory support on weekends, if necessary.
