Public Relations Manager

who can lead with strategy, creativity, and empathy — someone who understands the power of a good story and knows how to get it told, authentically and effectively.

Role Overview

The

PR Manager

will lead client accounts, drive communication strategies, and manage a team of executives to deliver impactful media outcomes. This role requires strong media acumen, exceptional storytelling skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with both clients and journalists.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Strategy

  • Lead PR strategy and planning for assigned clients, aligning communication goals with brand objectives.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring smooth day-to-day communication, counsel, and delivery.
  • Develop and oversee media strategies, narrative frameworks, and campaign rollouts.
  • Identify brand positioning opportunities and ensure consistent message alignment across communication channels.

Media Relations & Execution

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists, editors, and opinion leaders across national, regional, and digital media.
  • Craft compelling press releases, media pitches, opinion pieces, and key messaging documents.
  • Lead press events, interviews, roundtables, and partnerships, ensuring quality execution and visibility.
  • Proactively identify earned media and thought leadership opportunities for clients.

Team & Delivery

  • Manage and mentor a team of PR Executives and Associates, ensuring clarity, learning, and accountability.
  • Oversee media monitoring, coverage reports, and performance analysis, ensuring strategic insights and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal strategy, creative, and digital teams for integrated communication outcomes.

Agency Growth & Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to new business pitches, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Keep the agency and clients informed of emerging PR trends, media shifts, and best practices.
  • Represent Jajabor’s culture of creativity, curiosity, and collaboration in all client and media interactions.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in Public Relations, Communications, or Corporate Affairs (agency background preferred).
  • Proven track record of leading PR accounts and managing client relationships independently.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian media ecosystem and evolving digital storytelling formats.
  • Exceptional communication — both written and verbal — with strong editorial instincts.
  • Experience in managing a team and mentoring young professionals.
  • A strategic thinker with the agility to execute in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
