The Manager – P&M will be responsible for planning, mobilization, operation, maintenance, and optimization of heavy equipment, batching plants, precast machinery, and construction equipment deployed for the Bullet Train project. The role involves ensuring maximum availability of machinery with minimum downtime while adhering to safety and quality standards of high-speed rail infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the P&M department for the project and manage a large fleet of heavy construction equipment, cranes, batching plants, casting yard machinery, etc.
• Plan, mobilize, install, and commission critical plant & machinery at different project sites and casting yards.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance schedules are followed to maximize machine availability.
• Maintain equipment logs, inspection reports, and ensure statutory compliance (RTO, safety, insurance, etc.).
• Optimize equipment utilization to reduce cost and enhance productivity.
• Coordinate with site execution, safety, and quality teams for smooth operations.
• Handle procurement requests, spares inventory management, and vendor liaisoning.
• Train and supervise a team of engineers, supervisors, operators, and mechanics.
• Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards as per high-speed rail project requirements.
• Support audits, inspections, and client reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

  B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering (preferred).

• Experience:

  10–15 years of experience in Plant & Machinery management in railways/metro/highway/large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of installation and maintenance of precast & casting yard equipment, batching plants, and heavy construction equipment.
• Expertise in preventive & predictive maintenance systems.
• Excellent leadership, vendor management, and cost-control skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and statutory compliances related to P&M.
