Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Die Casting Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of die casting components and processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product development, smooth production operations, and adherence to APQP/PPAP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and coordinate the development of new die-casting components from initial concept to production readiness.

2. Collaborate with design and tooling teams to develop die designs that meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements.

3. Conduct simulations and feasibility studies (e.g., flow analysis) for new die designs to ensure robust process performance.

4. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through tooling development, process trials, and validation activities.

5. Manage APQP and PPAP documentation in line with quality and customer requirements.

6. Troubleshoot die-casting production issues such as cracks, bearing oversize, flash, shrinkage, or other casting defects, and implement corrective actions.

7. Work closely with quality and production teams to ensure product conformance and minimize downtime.

8. Interface with customers and suppliers throughout the NPD cycle to ensure timely communication and technical alignment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in HPDC/LPDC die casting processes.
• Strong understanding of tooling, mold design, and metal flow behavior.
• Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and process validation.
• Problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with simulation software (e.g., MAGMA, FLOW-3D, or equivalent).
• Exposure to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
