Manager - Logistics | Healthcare Industry

Role & responsibilities

• Manage inventory, warehouse, transportation, and other logistics processes.
• Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
• Accountable for procuring all required items by team in a timely manner and ensure availability of stock/buffer, despite challenges (like shortage in supply, rejected consignment and manages procurement through back-up vendors/ relationship with vendors etc.)
• Build strong networking in the industry to ensure working with the best vendors and getting optimum benefit through relationship management.
• Responsible for end-to-end vendor management, share feedback on delivery, quality of consignment with vendor and take necessary actions where needed, maintains overall vendor relationships.
• Follow-up with the vendors in case of delay in delivery/ stock replacement etc.
• Review and propose ideal logistics routes pan India for movement of specimen to maintain lowest TAT for increasing business efficiency and offerings.
• Resolves internal and external audit queries and makes sure of keeping all details ready for audit as per prescribed standards.
• Conducts audits for non-moving stocks, expired/ near-expired items and takes necessary actions, update Finance about any specific excess/ shortage of stock.
• Control freight being sent by express and air mode and optimize their freight spend.
• Projects Identification of areas where new projects need to be undertaken for facility creation or expansion of current facility.
• Track and monitor cold chain shipments and take decision in case of any delay in order to ensure that shipments reaches CFAs in time and in right condition Warehouse Management Review schedules for delivery of consignments to warehouse and monitor deviations (if any), Review transit delay reports;
• Ensuring that all licenses AMCs are in place
• Interfacing with Statutory Bodies Interfacing with Drug Control Authorities, Sales Tax Commissioner, Labor Enforcements Authority, Trade Associations
• All India Trade Association State Trade Associations Cold Chain Management For ensure that cold chain shipments are transported as per label requirements.
• Ensuring all project work is done with safety precautions.

Person Specifications:

• Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in Supply chain management / Operations / Logistics
• 12 - 15 years of experience working in Logistics, SCM operations
• Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
• Excellent negotiation skill
• Good Understanding on City geography and TAT
• A Strong Team leader
• Ability to manage, coach, and provide training to the team members.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
