Job Description

Responsibilities:

Labour Law Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with central and state labour laws (Factories Act, Shops & Establishments, CLRA, ESI, EPF, Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, Industrial Disputes, etc.).

  • Handle inspections, audits, and notices from Labour Department officials.

  • Maintain statutory registers, licences, returns, and ensure timely application/renewal.

General Compliance & Legal Support

  • Draft and review contracts, notices, and statutory replies.

  • Coordinate with external lawyers for litigation, arbitration, and labour court matters.

  • Support compliance with corporate governance, ROC filings, and board resolutions (if required).

  • Track legal amendments and keep management updated.

Advisory & Liaison

  • Liaise with government authorities (Labour, ESI, PF, etc.).

  • Advise management/HR on disciplinary actions, disputes, and grievance handling.

  • Assist in audits and risk reviews to close compliance gaps.
