Manager, Internal Audit

You will be responsible for managing the Internal Audit function as the Manager, Internal Audit in Mumbai within the Risk & Audit department. As part of a permanent role with EMEA work timings in a hybrid mode, you will be expected to focus on internal audit execution, day-to-day responsibilities, managing the internal audit team, stakeholder management, and contributing to the overall internal audit function. Your key responsibilities will include engaging with stakeholders to explain and train them on the Internal Audit Program/Framework, documenting internal audit tests/reports, updating the Senior Manager and auditee on audit status and observations, producing internal audit reports for approval, and following up on corrective actions related to audit findings. You will also be required to maintain knowledge and skills for audit testing, allocate work to the team based on competencies, provide guidance during audit assignments, and escalate issues as needed. Furthermore, you will assist in hiring and training new team members, planning team activities, and delivering training for professional development. Stakeholder management will be crucial, as you will need to collaborate with senior management to ensure internal audit needs are met. Additionally, you will work closely with the Senior Manager and Head of Internal Audit on recruitment, 3-year Audit Plan development, audit engagements, and reporting to the Board. To excel in this role, you should have experience in risk assessment, control & risk evaluation, and reporting. A qualified or semi-qualified CA/ACCA with industry qualifications such as CIIA or recognized accountancy qualification is preferred. You should have at least 8 years of relevant experience in financial services, with asset management experience being desirable.
