For Details Contact: hrd@amrita.edu Job Title Manager – Information Technology (IT) Location Haridwar, Uttarakhand Required Number 2 Job Description The Manager – IT is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of campus-wide IT infrastructure and services. This role ensures the smooth operation of academic and administrative IT systems, provides technical support, and aligns IT resources with the institution’s academic and operational goals. Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field Essential Qualifications Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, cybersecurity, and database management. Hands-on experience with ERP, LMS, and campus management systems. Excellent troubleshooting, team management, and communication skills. Responsibilities Manage and maintain campus-wide IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, data centers, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity. Supervise the IT support team and ensure timely resolution of hardware, software, and networking issues. Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, applications, and security tools. -Ensure data security, backup systems, and disaster recovery protocols are in place and functioning. Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to assess and meet IT requirements. Manage procurement, budgeting, and vendor relationships for IT equipment and services. Implement and enforce cybersecurity best practices across the campus. Maintain and upgrade campus ERP, LMS, attendance systems, and other software platforms. Support IT needs during campus events, exams, online classes, and institutional audits. Monitor system performance, analyze issues, and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
