We are seeking an experienced and innovative
Manager - Electronics Control Systems
to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced electronic control systems for our products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in embedded systems, power electronics, control algorithms, and system integration. This role requires technical leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, high-performance electronic control solutions for cutting-edge products.As the Manager - Electronics Control Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of control system design, from concept through production, ensuring adherence to performance, safety, and compliance standards. You will guide a multidisciplinary team of engineers and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to bring innovative control architectures to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead the electronics control systems engineering team, setting clear objectives and fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. Define design strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- System Design & Development: Drive the design, modeling, and development of electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, and actuator systems for complex electromechanical and IoT-enabled products.
- Embedded Control & Firmware: Oversee the development of control algorithms and embedded firmware for real-time systems. Collaborate with firmware engineers to ensure performance, stability, and compliance with safety standards.
- Electronics Architecture: Design and validate control system architectures including hardware interfaces, signal conditioning, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Modbus, SPI, I2C), and power management.
- Testing & Validation: Lead hardware-in-loop (HIL), software-in-loop (SIL), and system-level validation activities to ensure robust, fault-tolerant designs. Define test plans, performance criteria, and safety validation procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software design teams to integrate control systems into products seamlessly. Ensure design compatibility, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently, defining timelines, resource allocation, and technical milestones. Ensure on-time delivery and quality of deliverables.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all control systems comply with relevant safety, EMC, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, IEC). Maintain detailed design documentation, design reviews, and change control processes.
- Innovation & Research: Stay updated on emerging technologies in electronics, embedded systems, and control theory. Identify opportunities to enhance product functionality and performance through innovation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- 9+ years of hands-on experience in electronics control systems design and development.
- Strong expertise in embedded systems, PCB design, and control algorithms.
- Proficiency in hardware design tools (Altium, OrCAD, or similar) and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice).
- Experience with real-time embedded programming (C/C++) and microcontroller-based design (ARM, STM, or similar).
- In-depth understanding of signal processing, sensors, and actuators.
- Experience with IoT-enabled systems, communication protocols, and system integration.
- Proven track record of managing technical teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
