Manager - Contracts

Role Summary

The Manager Contracts will be responsible for end-to-end contract management related to coal and/or fly ash operations. The role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, administering, and closing contracts while ensuring commercial, legal, and regulatory compliance. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to mitigate risks and maximize contractual value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead contract management activities for coal and/or fly ash sourcing, transportation, disposal, and related services.
  
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, amendments, addenda, and commercial agreements.
  
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, statutory requirements, and company policies.
  
• Manage contract lifecycle including pre-award, post-award administration, claims, variations, and closures.
  
• Identify contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational interests.
  
• Handle contract disputes, claims, and negotiations with vendors, customers, and service providers.
  
• Coordinate with legal, finance, procurement, operations, and project teams for seamless execution of contracts.
  
• Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to timelines, pricing, and service levels.
  
• Maintain accurate contract documentation, records, and MIS reports.
  
• Support audits and management reviews related to contracts and commercial matters.
  

Eligibility & Experience

• Minimum

  10+ years of experience

  in contract management.
• Mandatory experience in

  Coal and/or Fly Ash

  operations or related sectors such as power, mining, or infrastructure.
• Proven expertise in handling large-value commercial and operational contracts.
  
• Strong understanding of Indian contract law, commercial terms, and regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry.
  

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Law, Commerce, or Management.
  
• Post-graduate qualification or certification in Contract Management / Legal / Commercial Management will be an advantage.
