About the Role

BESS Techno-Commercial Manager

What You’ll Do

CIO organization, Technical Services, Business Development, and EPC partners

Your day-to-day work will include:

1. Bid & Project Support

• Lead techno-commercial input for BESS bids and proposals
• Support risk & opportunity assessments, RFQ/RFP reviews, and dispatch analyses
• Optimize project technical configurations and energy mix models
• Review and contribute to key project documents — including PPA, EPC, O&M, ICA, and LLA agreements
• Coordinate EPC strategy, contractor selection, and performance guarantees
• Evaluate BESS product qualifications and benchmarking of EPC commercial proposals

2. Project Closing & Delivery

• Support project financial close activities, including clarifications with lenders, partners, and clients
• Collaborate on due diligence for brownfield asset acquisitions
• Ensure smooth project handover to Portfolio Management and Operations teams
• Contribute to successful project commissioning by aligning technical deliverables

3. Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, advisors, and internal teams
• Stay ahead of BESS market dynamics and emerging technologies

What You’ll Bring

• Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred)

• Experience:

  8–11 years in

  EPC project development, BESS, or energy storage

• Expertise in:

• BESS techno-commercial structuring & simulation
• Energy mix modeling and system optimization
• BESS codes, standards, and FPS system design
• Contract negotiation and EPC commercial analysis

• Industry knowledge:

  Power generation, EPC contracting, and IPP project environments

• Skills:

• Strong technical and commercial acumen
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability
• High attention to detail, proactive mindset, and flexibility to travel
• Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines
