Role Description

Job Title: Accounts Manager

Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Chief Accounts Manager / CEO

Job Summary:

Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, budget management, and guiding the accounts team. This role plays a key part in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and ensuring the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Supervise day-to-day accounting operations (AP/AR, GL, payroll, bank reconciliation).
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Compliance & Audit:
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax).
• Liaise with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory changes.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor actuals vs. budget performance.
• Provide management with variance analysis and cost-control recommendations.
• Team Management:
• Lead, train, and mentor junior accountants.
• Allocate tasks, review team performance, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Process Improvement:
• Implement internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
• Suggest automation tools or ERP upgrades to enhance efficiency.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Tally, or other ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail and deadline orientation.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• Experience: 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
