Job Description

We are seeking a Manager - Accounting & Finance for Navi Mumbai, a Specialist to oversee end-to-end accounting operations, ensure accurate book closures, maintain compliance, and streamline financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Process Management

  • Ensure zero-error accounting in the books, including correct cost centers, business classifications, and ledger mapping.
  • Ensure full compliance with taxation requirements related to both receivables and payables.
  • Perform vendor and customer reconciliations at least once every financial year.
  • Develop policies, refine accounting processes, and ensure alignment with business teams.
  • Drive process improvements and standardization across accounting functions.

Reporting & Controls

  • Perform monthly balance confirmations for all advance balances.
  • Work collaboratively with Procurement, Marketing, Technology, Audit, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination in financial processes and reporting.
  • Maintain complete control over unbilled expenses, provisions, prepaid accounts, and advances.
  • Manage monthly MIS closure, prepare ageing reports, and provide accurate outstanding statements to support strategic decision-making at departmental and organizational levels.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of operational nuances
  • Experience in due diligence and audits
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, reduce costs, and creatively optimize spending
  • Demonstrated improvement in accounting timelines and book closure efficiency
  • Strong stakeholder management accountable for payables and follow-ups on receivables
  • Experience handling complex accounting scenarios such as lease structures
  • Ability to manage high transaction volumes
  • Experience managing reimbursements and petty cash

Knowledge Requirements

  • Familiarity with Ind AS / IFRS standards
    Working knowledge of Zoho Books
  • Tech-savvy with a strong inclination toward automation
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with transaction approvals
  • Knowledge of setting up accounting processes
  • Prior experience managing end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
