Job Description

Job Summary:

TIH, IIT Bombay is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management Trainee - Business Development to support the team in preparing compelling business proposals and presentations. This role is ideal for individuals with strong research, analytical, and communication skills who are eager to gain hands-on experience in business development and sales strategy. You will play an active role in market outreach, proposal development, client engagement, and sales strategy execution.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support end-to-end development of business proposals, pitch decks, and partnership documents.
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify new opportunities.
  • Prepare and design client presentations that are persuasive, data-backed, and visually impactful.
  • Engage with prospective clients and partners through email, phone, and meetings to nurture leads.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to align proposals with client requirements and TIH’s capabilities.
  • Track and maintain a database of leads, proposals, and engagement progress.
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of a centralized repository of sales assets, templates, and case studies.
  • Assist in planning and executing outreach campaigns for target sectors.

Education Qualifications:

  • MBA or master’s degree (recent graduate or final-year student) in Business, Marketing, or related fields.


Required Expertise:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel); familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to support data-driven proposals.
  • Proactive, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Interest or exposure to emerging technologies such as AI/ML, IoT, and Generative AI is highly desirable.
