Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in fiber laser cutting machines, CNC systems, and industrial automation. The ideal candidate should have a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, ensuring machines run efficiently with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of fiber laser machines, CNC routers, and automation equipment.

· Diagnose technical issues related to laser sources, optics, controllers (e.g., CypCut, Beckhoff), servo motors, sensors, and PLCs.

· Ensure proper calibration and alignment of laser heads, chiller units, beam delivery systems, etc.

· Maintain service logs, reports, and machine history records.

· Collaborate with the production and design teams for technical improvements.

· Provide on-site or remote support to customers for breakdowns, service calls, and installation supervision.

· Train machine operators on basic troubleshooting and maintenance best practices.

· Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.

· Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in maintaining fiber laser or CNC machinery.

· Strong understanding of laser optics, cutting parameters, electrical panels, and motion systems.

· Familiarity with CypCut, Precitec, Raytools, IPG, Raycus, or MAX laser sources is a plus.

· Proficient in reading technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

· Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to breakdown situations.

· Good communication and documentation skills.

· Willing to travel for field service if required.

Preferred Skills

· Knowledge of industrial cooling systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

· Basic understanding of CAD/CAM and machine software settings.

· Experience with installation and commissioning of laser machines.
