Mainframe Senior Lead

Design code test and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL JCL DB2 IMS DBDC CICS VSAM and IBM MQDevelop and support batch and online processes including job streams transaction systems and message driven programsAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical specificationsParticipate in the full software development lifecycle SDLC including design development testing deployment and supportTroubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions including root cause analysis and corrective action planningOptimize mainframe code and database access for performance and scalabilityWork with system analysts QA testers and infrastructure teams to ensure system integrity and qualityMaintain accurate and up to date documentation of technical designs codebases and processesSupport production jobs and on call troubleshooting as requiredBachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience3 to 8 years of hands on experience with the following mainframe technologiesCOBOL batch and onlineJCL Job Control LanguageCICS Customer Information Control SystemDB2 and or IMS DBVSAM Virtual Storage Access MethodIMS DC Transaction ManagementIBM MQ Message QueueingFamiliarity with tools such as TSO ISPF File AID Abend AID and version control such as Endevor or ChangemanStrong analytical and debugging skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentGood communication skills for collaboration with business analysts and QA teamsJob DetailsRole Level: Associate Work Type: Full-Time Country: India City: india ,Andhra Pradesh Company Website: http://www.virtusa.com Job Function: Information Technology (IT) Company Industry/Sector: IT Services and IT ConsultingWhat We Offer
