JOB DESCRIPTION – Machine/Validation Operator Job Title: Machine Operator – Cleanroom Validation Equipment Department: Quality Assurance / HVAC Validation / Engineering Location: (Add your location) Reporting To: Validation Engineer / QA Manager Job Summary The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining cleanroom validation equipment including PAO particle generator, NVPC pressure testing instruments, air velocity meters, and fog machines. The operator ensures accurate testing, documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards such as WHO, GMP, ISO 14644, and company SOPs. Key Responsibilities 1. Equipment Operation Operate PAO particle generator for HEPA integrity testing. Conduct NVPC (Negative/Neutral/Positive Pressure) monitoring and pressure differential checks. Use air velocity instruments to measure airflow rates at HEPA terminals, LAF units, and AHUs. Perform fog visualization tests to identify airflow direction, turbulence, and leak pathways. Ensure all machines are calibrated and functioning properly before use. 2. Cleanroom Validation Activities Assist in HEPA filter leakage testing. Perform airflow visualization studies. Support cleanroom qualification tests (IQ/OQ/PQ). Record and verify environmental parameters. Follow test protocols and data sheets accurately. 3. Maintenance & Calibration Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting on equipment. Ensure machines are clean, maintained, and stored properly. Coordinate calibration schedules with external/internal calibration teams. Report equipment faults to the supervisor immediately. 4. Documentation Complete test reports, log sheets, and checklists. Maintain equipment usage logs and calibration records. Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 14644, and company SOPs. Support audit requirements by providing accurate documentation. 5. Safety & Compliance Follow all safety procedures related to aerosol generation, cleanrooms, and electrical equipment. Use PPE as required. Comply with GMP, GDP (Good Documentation Practice), and QA standards. Required Skills & Qualifications ITI / Diploma / B.Sc / Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation preferred). Knowledge of cleanroom validation or instrument handling. Ability to read and follow SOPs and technical instructions. Basic understanding of HVAC systems and cleanroom concepts. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Preferred Experience 1–3 years experience in cleanroom validation, HVAC qualification, or equipment operation.
