Position: Logistics Plant Manager

Department: Operations / Logistics Location: Kosi,Mathura

Role Overview The Logistics Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end logistics, warehousing, dispatch, and distribution operations of the plant. The role requires strong leadership, coordination with cross-functional teams, and effective management of manpower and resources to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Logistics & Distribution Management • Plan, manage, and oversee daily logistics, transportation, and dispatch operations. • Ensure on-time delivery of materials and finished goods to customers and other plants. • Optimize routes, vehicle utilization, and turnaround time. 2. Inventory Control • Manage storage, stacking, and movement of raw materials and finished goods. • Monitor stock levels and ensure accuracy of inventory records. • Implement FIFO/FEFO and ensure minimal wastage or pilferage.

3. Team Management • Supervise logistics staff, drivers, and warehouse operators. • Conduct regular training on safety, process compliance, and discipline. • Monitor workforce performance and resolve grievances.

4. Cost & Efficiency Control • Monitor and control logistics expenses, freight costs, and third-party vendor bills. • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements. • Ensure optimal utilization of vehicles, equipment, and manpower.

5. Compliance & Safety • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and labor laws. • Maintain strict adherence to plant safety, security, and environmental guidelines. • Monitor proper documentation (GRN, dispatch slips, gate passes, challans, etc.).

6. Reporting & Coordination • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on dispatch, logistics performance, and cost. • Coordinate with production, sales, procurement, and accounts teams for smooth operations. • Handle customer queries and resolve logistics-related issues.

Key Skills & Competencies • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain processes. • Hands-on experience with ERP/logistics management software. • Problem-solving ability and decision-making under pressure. • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience • Graduate/Post Graduate • Minimum 12-15 years of experience in logistics/plant operations, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial role. • Experience in manufacturing / plant-based logistics preferred. • Graduate/Post Graduate with experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field will Preferred.
