Job Description

Job Summary:

The Logistics Executive is responsible for managing all aspects of B2B logistics operations, including appointment scheduling, shipment tracking, documentation, and vendor relations. This role ensures timely and efficient movement of goods, accurate record-keeping, and optimal relationships with logistics partners. The Logistics Executive will also oversee inbound logistics, ensuring smooth and cost-effective receipt of goods.


Key Responsibilities:

Appointment Management:

o Schedule and manage appointments and reappointments for all B2B shipments.

o Coordinate with warehouses, distribution centers, and logistics partners to ensure

timely loading and unloading.

o Update appointment calendars and communicate schedules to relevant

stakeholders.


Shipment Tracking:

o Monitor all B2B orders in transit to ensure on-time delivery.

o Provide regular updates to internal teams regarding shipment statuses.

o Proactively identify and address potential delays or issues during transit.


Documentation and Record-Keeping:

o Collect, verify, and file Proof of Deliveries (PODs) for all dispatched orders.

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments, including dispatch

details, delivery confirmations, and any discrepancies.

o Ensure compliance with legal and company documentation standards.


Weight Reconciliation:

o Reconcile charged weights against dispatched weights for all shipments.

o Investigate and resolve any discrepancies with logistics partners promptly.o Implement processes to minimize weight discrepancies in future shipments.


Vendor Relationship Management:

o Manage relationships with existing B2B logistics partners, serving as the primary

point of contact.

o Address and resolve any service issues or escalations with logistics providers.

o Conduct regular performance reviews and meetings with logistics partners to ensure

service level agreements are met.


Negotiation and Contract Management:

o Identify and evaluate potential new B2B logistics partners to expand service

capabilities.

o Negotiate terms, rates, and service agreements with logistics providers to secure

favorable deals.

o Collaborate with the procurement and legal teams to finalize contracts.


Inbound Logistics Management:

o Oversee logistics for inbound shipments, coordinating with suppliers and

warehouses.

o Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of inbound goods.

o Manage customs clearance and compliance for international shipments, if

applicable.


Process Improvement:

o Analyze logistics operations to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency

improvements.

o Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance logistics processes.

o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain activities.


Compliance and Reporting:

o Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, national, and international

regulations.o Prepare and submit regular reports on logistics performance metrics to the

Replenishment Team Leader.

o Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
