Linux System Engineer

Candidate should have min. 6+ of relevant exp. in Windows environment. Min. 4 yrs in AWS. Job Description: We are seeking an experienced AWS & Windows Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing Windows workloads in AWS, leveraging tools such as AWS Systems Manager (SSM), Patch Manager, and AWS networking services. This role will focus on ensuring system reliability, compliance, and security across our hybrid cloud environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and administer Windows Server environments hosted in AWS and on-premises. Configure, monitor, and maintain AWS Systems Manager (SSM), including Patch Manager, Automation Documents (Runbooks), and Parameter Store. Implement and maintain patching strategies for Windows workloads in compliance with organizational security standards. Work with AWS networking services (VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, etc.) to design and troubleshoot secure, scalable architectures. Automate infrastructure operations using SSM automation, PowerShell, and Python where applicable. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, implementing tuning and optimization where needed. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements. Provide incident response and troubleshooting for Windows systems and AWS services. Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of configurations, procedures, and standards. Required Qualifications 3–5+ years of experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, DNS, DHCP). Hands-on experience with AWS Systems Manager (SSM), Patch Manager, and automation features. Strong understanding of AWS networking (VPC design, routing, VPNs, load balancers, security hardening). Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts (CloudFormation, Terraform, or CDK preferred). Scripting experience with PowerShell (and optionally Python or Bash). Knowledge of cloud monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, GuardDuty). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with both Window
