Linux System Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, set up, and maintain Linux servers and systems, ensuring high availability and performance to minimize downtime and support business continuity.
• Monitor system performance to guarantee dependability and availability.
• Maintain frequent system backups and recovery methods.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Implement and maintain system security measures to protect sensitive data and prevent costly security breaches.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to create and deploy innovative solutions that enhance overall IT infrastructure and support business growth.
• Maintain documentation of system setups, procedures, and processes to ensure knowledge retention, regulatory compliance, and smooth team transitions.
• Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates promptly to keep systems up to date, reducing vulnerabilities and maintaining compliance.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings to ensure secure access and data privacy.
• Monitor and analyze logs to detect and address any issues proactively, preventing potential system failures and ensuring seamless operations.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

Graduate in any stream

Experience: 2+ years of experience in Lynux Systems Administration

Skills:

• Experience in Linux Operating systems like CentOS or Redhat & Ubuntu.
• Able to secure configure of servers ( Server Hardening ) like NFS, Samba, Apache etc.
• Writing system level firewall rules
• Experience in bash shell scripting and text processing commands.
• Experience in Web Application servers like Apache / NGinx etc.
• Certification in Linux (Preferred)
• Experience in AWS Cloud, etc

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Salt Lake, Kolkata, West Bengal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Linux System Administration: 2 years (Required)
