Overview: Automate and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure for streaming services, APIs, and Big Data pipelines, ensuring 24/7 availability and proactive risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities: Automate 100% of deployments and upgrades for Kafka, Spark, and FastAPI using Kubernetes and SaltStack Design containerized workflows using Docker and Kubernetes for zero-downtime updates Manage distributed storage systems (S3/MinIO) including monitoring, capacity planning, and data integrity Implement proactive alerts for CVEs and infrastructure metrics, with auto-remediation workflows Enforce security policies including RBAC, system hardening, SSL/TLS, and audit compliance Document infrastructure patterns such as "Scaling Kafka without data loss" Technical Requirements: 5+ years in Linux/Unix automation and mission-critical systems 3+ years in Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Salt/Terraform/Ansible), and monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana) Expertise in Kafka, S3/MinIO, and security tools like OpenVAS and auditd Strong focus on security: CVE patching within 72 hours, anomaly detection, and compliance Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus, especially when combined with on-premise infrastructure knowledge Soft Skills: Proactive in anticipating scalability and security risks Detail-oriented in documenting configurations and risk assessments Collaborative mindset to work with developers on observability (logs and metrics) Candidate Profile: Ideal candidates come from enterprise environments with on-premise data centers or hybrid cloud architectures.
