Role Linux Administrator (L2.5)

2 Required Technical Skill Set · Lead administration, configuration, and optimization of Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in production and mission-critical environments. · Design, implement, and manage high-availability PCS clusters for critical applications. · Troubleshoot and resolve complex Linux OS, networking, and application issues. · Manage and maintain essential services including DNS, FTP, CUPS, and Postfix. · Implement automation and configuration management using Ansible. · Perform system performance tuning, capacity planning, and security hardening. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams for upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects. · Mentor L1/L2 administrators and provide guidance on best practices. · Maintain comprehensive documentation, procedures, and architecture diagrams.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have · Manage, optimize, and troubleshooting Linux infrastructure at an advanced level. · Administering high-availability environments, managing clusters, and ensuring robust performance and security across critical services. · Expertise in PCS clusters, Networking, DNS, FTP, CUPS, Postfix, and automation using Ansible is essential. · Good communication skills to interact with customers

Good-to-Have · Knowledge in Monitoring and alerting tools (ELK, OpenText OBM). · Knowledge in Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery tools (Cohesity). · Knowledge in JIRA and ServiceNow. · Understanding of Agile way of working. · RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)

1 Part of 9*5 support team from ODC and OnCall support team during non-business hours, weekends, holidays as per shift schedule.

2 Part of change implementation team mainly during non-business hours and perform the maker/checker responsibility as expected.
