Line Supervisor / Production Supervisor

Job Title: Line Supervisor / Production Supervisor Department: Production / Manufacturing Reporting To: Production Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Line Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the production line. This role is responsible for ensuring high efficiency, quality control, defect management, and continuous skill development of the team. The ideal candidate will focus on achieving zero stoppages, maintaining high product quality, and enhancing team performance. Major Roles & Responsibilities:1. Efficiency Optimization Confirm line attendance at the start of each shift and ensure the team is fully staffed. Proactively maintain and improve line efficiency to achieve zero stoppages. Identify production bottlenecks, develop solutions, and remove productivity barriers. 2. Quality Control Enhance and maintain Inline Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Total Units Pass (TUP) ratios. Drive continuous quality improvement by engaging shop floor employees. Analyze defects and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality. 3. Defect Management (OS&D – Over, Short & Damage)Ensure all rejected items are accurately tracked, reported, and accounted for. Perform detailed analysis of rejected parts and take corrective actions to reduce rejection rates. 4. Training and Skill Development Conduct regular training sessions to support multiskilling and contingency preparedness. Train new hires, ensuring they understand defect-free processes and achieve competency quickly. Promote cross-functional skill development to build a flexible workforce. Qualifications: Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 3–6 years in manufacturing or production line supervision. Key Skills: Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices. Ability to analyze production data and identify efficiency improvements. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities. Work Conditions: On-site, shift-based work. May require extended hours during peak production or downtime recovery. Work Model: Onsite
