Job Description

Job Summary

The Line In-Charge will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of the electronics manufacturing line, ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety norms are consistently met. The role demands hands-on experience in LED / power electronics assembly and the ability to manage operators and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

.Supervise Daily Operations

  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.
  • Conduct daily line checks and ensure smooth workflow across all shifts.

Batch Management

  • Receive batches from the store, verifying inventory accuracy and proper storage.
  • Manage batch production, ensuring timely completion and meeting quality requirements.

Inward Material Management

  • Ensure timely receipt and inspection of raw materials and components from the store.
  • Verify material quality, quantity, and documentation before release to production.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of line operators, ensuring discipline, productivity, and safety.
  • Provide constructive feedback and identify opportunities for skill development.

Process Improvement

  • Monitor production metrics, identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean practices.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

  • Identify and resolve production issues quickly, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Quality teams for technical support.

Quality Control

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements through in-process checks and final inspections.
  • Coordinate with the QC team to address non-conformities and reduce rework.

Training & Development

  • Conduct regular training sessions for production staff on assembly techniques, ESD practices, and best operating procedures.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and process discipline.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Communication

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply-related issues.
  • Liaise with Production Planning, Stores, and Quality teams to ensure seamless operations.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly production reports, highlighting plan vs. actual output and any material shortages.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, rejects, and rework.

Qualifications & Skills

· Diploma/B.Sc. in Electronics or related discipline.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing / LED or power electronics assembly.

· Good understanding of PCB assembly, soldering processes, and ESD practices.

· Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage a team of operators.

· Knowledge of basic production planning and reporting tools.
