Lift Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, commission, and modernise lift and escalator systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs with minimal downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain detailed service records and submit technical reports.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in the lift & escalator sector only.
• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of lift/escalator safety codes and standards (e.g., EN81, ISO, local regulations).
• Hands-on experience with major lift & escalator brands (Otis, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, ThyssenKrupp, etc.).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Physically fit to work in varied environments and heights.
• Flexible to work extended hours and attend emergency callouts.

• Experience in advanced control systems and modernization projects.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
