Lift Engineer

You will be responsible for installing, testing, commissioning, and modernizing lift and escalator systems. Your duties will include conducting preventive maintenance and emergency repairs efficiently to minimize downtime. You will be expected to diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and control systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and manufacturer guidelines. Keeping detailed service records and submitting technical reports will be essential. Additionally, you will provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians, and collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution. To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in the lift & escalator sector. A Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent) is required. You should possess a strong knowledge of lift/escalator safety codes and standards such as EN81, ISO, and local regulations. Hands-on experience with major lift & escalator brands like Otis, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, and ThyssenKrupp is preferred. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are crucial, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Physical fitness to work in various environments and heights, flexibility to work extended hours, and attend emergency callouts are also necessary. Preferred skills for this position include experience in advanced control systems and modernization projects, a strong customer service orientation, and effective communication skills.
