- Architect, design, and develop backend services and APIs for large-scale analytics systems.
- Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines to efficiently process massive volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to integrate complex analytical models into backend services.
- Implement efficient algorithms for data processing, aggregation, and real-time analytics.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of backend systems.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and promote best practices in software development and data engineering.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes to improve system robustness.
- Maintain thorough documentation of systems, APIs, and workflows.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in backend development, data processing frameworks, and cloud technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development, preferably in analytics or data-intensive applications.
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala, or Go.
- Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL & NoSQL) including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, or similar.
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, or Hadoop.
- Expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid grasp of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with real-time analytics and stream processing.
- Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and integrating ML models in production.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and analytics dashboards.
