Legal Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Legal Affairs

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, MoUs, NDAs, SLAs, partnership contracts, and vendor agreements.
• Provide legal support for fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate structuring matters.
• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, FEMA, and related corporate governance frameworks.

Cyber & Digital Law

• Advise on legal risks related to

  cybersecurity

  ,

  data protection

  ,

  IT Act

  ,

  digital transactions

  , and

  consumer protection in online services

  .
• Liaise with the tech and compliance teams to implement policies in line with

  IT Act

  ,

  DPDP Act

  , and RBIs digital payment guidelines.
• Handle legal issues arising from cyber frauds, phishing, data breaches, or user disputes.

Regulatory & Fintech Compliance

• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments related to

  RBI

  ,

  NPCI

  ,

  UIDAI

  , and other fintech governing bodies.
• Ensure all products and services are compliant with RBI Master Directions, Payment Aggregator/Payment Gateway norms, PPI rules, etc.
• Assist in preparing and responding to legal notices, regulatory queries, audits, and inspections.

Internal Legal Advisory

• Support various business units with risk assessments and legal reviews for new initiatives.
• Provide training and awareness on legal best practices, IP protection, and contract obligations.
• Work closely with external legal counsel on high-stakes litigation or complex advisory matters.

Qualifications:

• LL.B. (Mandatory); LL.M. in Cyber Law, Corporate Law, or Technology Law is a plus.

• 3-6 years

  of experience in legal roles, preferably in

  regulated financial institutions

Fintech Regulations

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under pressure
• Knowledge of handling digital evidence, cyber investigations, or e-discovery is a plus
