Legal Officer

You will be responsible for initiating all legal reports to lawyers and arranging reports from panel lawyers across the region. This includes initiating property valuations and arranging reports for properties. You will also be required to vet all original legal documents and sign legal documents confirming their authenticity. Proficiency in legal recovery, including filing Sec 138 and CERSEI cases, is a key requirement for this role. Your responsibilities will include addressing exceptions related to property titles, missing documents, laminated papers, and other title checks. You will liaise with customers and intra departments for legal reports and prepare standard formats of Indemnity bonds and Affidavits as necessary. Additionally, you will manage the storage of lawyer and vendor agreements and assist the recovery team with property checks and other legal recovery work. Registered mortgage processes will be handled by legal representatives, and you will ensure annual monitoring, compliance, and RBI requirements related to property and other regulatory frameworks. You will be tasked with drafting and finalizing agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to safeguard the company's legal rights. Maintaining a tracker showing the updated case status for each legal case and filing civil/criminal complaints against customers, dealers, agencies, etc., after consultation with the department head will be part of your responsibilities. Regular attendance at court hearings and filing of Sec 138 and CERSEI cases will also be required. To excel in this role, you should possess knowledge in lending, mortgage, real estate, securitization, charge creation, etc. Hands-on experience in strategizing legal action on loan accounts, litigation, and action under various laws is essential. Strong negotiation skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well in a team are also important.
