Role & responsibilities

• Reviewing title search report and providing the Legal opinion on acceptability of the property as security.
• Giving an approvals/rejections on the Legal Deviations.
• Scrutiny of title documents and providing opinion to business and credit team on mortgage loans etc.
• Discussion and Negotiation with credit and sales for resolution of bottlenecks.
• Preparing Affidavit, Declaration, indemnity as per the Credit and/or Legal conditions.
• Reviewing and vetting of the Mortgage deed, MODT.
• Meeting with Advocate(s) to abreast about the current dynamic of local market on legal front and to improve the quality of the title report with TAT.
• Discussion with Local team for inclusion of property matrix considering competition an suggest change in collateral policy/process of stakeholders and business units.
• visiting Branches periodically to provide functional training on the policy procedure and document execution and also to improve synergy within the teams.
• Legal Audit as and when required for the Branches.
• Maintenance of MIS and reminders for the conditions and compliance.
