Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for managing business legal processes including documentation verification, loan security perfection, MODT execution, release deeds, and handling litigation matters such as Sec.138 cases, arbitration, SARFAESI proceedings, execution petitions, CAC matters, and legal field activities to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Legal & Documentation

  • Verify customer legal and financial documents to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Handle

    MODT (Memorandum of Deposit of Title Deeds)

    preparation, execution, and coordination with banks/registrar.
  • Manage

    Release Deed

    preparation and completion upon loan closure.
  • Maintain accurate legal records and documentation tracking.

Litigation Management

  • Handle and coordinate

    Section 138 (Cheque Bounce) cases

    including documentation, filing, and follow-ups.
  • Assist in

    Arbitration matters

    including notice issuance, case filing, and award execution.
  • Support

    SARFAESI proceedings

    including issuance of notices, repossession coordination, and compliance documentation.
  • Manage

    Execution Petitions

    and liaise with legal counsel and courts.
  • Handle

    CAC (Company Against Case)

    filing, follow up and status tracking.

Field & Coordination Activities

  • Conduct

    field visits

    related to legal verification, repossession support, and litigation follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with external advocates, panel lawyers, recovery teams, branches, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide legal support to business teams and ensure timely resolution of legal cases.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    banking / NBFC legal framework

    , SARFAESI, arbitration laws, Sec.138 NI Act.
  • Experience in

    loan documentation & security related registrations

    such as MODT & release deeds.
  • Good understanding of legal procedures, court processes, and documentation.
  • Strong communication, drafting, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to handle field visits and external coordination independently.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelors in Law (LLB) preferred; Non-law graduates with strong NBFC legal experience may also apply.
  • 3–7 years

    of relevant experience in NBFC / Banking legal operations or litigation support.
