Legal Manager

This is regarding for Legal Manager role with India's leading Banking Firm!!

Location : Mumbai and Ahmedabad

Preferred Industry : BFSI

We are seeking qualified and experienced legal professionals (LLB) with 45 years of hands-on experience in handling corporate and banking litigation matters. The ideal candidate will be proficient in court proceedings and legal documentation, particularly in relation to debt recovery and banking laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the organization in various courts and tribunals, including Magistrate Courts, Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), High Court, City Civil Court, and other related judicial forums in Mumbai/Ahmedabad.
  
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, replies, legal notices, and other litigation-related correspondences.
  
• Coordinate and liaise with external lawyers and law firms on ongoing litigation and legal strategy.
  
• Manage cases related to Arbitration, DRT, Civil Recovery, SARFAESI proceedings, and other banking recovery matters (both secured and unsecured loans).
  
• Handle filing of police complaints and manage proceedings in criminal courts when necessary.
  
• Maintain accurate legal MIS and documentation related to all legal cases and activities.
  
• Travel as required to courts, customer locations, lawyers offices, and other relevant sites for legal follow-ups and case handling.
  

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
  
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in banking and corporate litigation.
  
• Strong drafting skills and command over English (written and verbal).
  
• In-depth understanding of banking laws, recovery laws, and legal processes.
  
• Willingness to travel frequently for legal work and external coordination.
