Job Purpose: The legal counsel role will collaborate closely with all the members of the global management team. The legal counsels role is to advise the management team on legal and compliance risks, and to provide solutions to the management team in the course of the running of the business of Eastvantage. Ultimately the legal counsel protects the interests of the company and ensures the long term sustainability of the company. The legal counsel will report to the global CFO in Manila. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide accurate and timely counsel in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate structuring, corporate finance, M&A, contract management, etc.). Provide legal support and advice on intercompany transactions between Eastvantage affiliates. Work with relevant stakeholders in the development, negotiation, and lifecycle management of the companys commercial contracts. Ensure all stakeholders understand the legal terms and conditions of the contracts, and ensure contracts abide by local and international laws. Participate in the work of the compliance offer in mapping and monitoring internal and external risk, and formulating mitigation strategies. Liaise with external providers (law firms, auditors, government agencies) that provide specific knowledge to the company when and where needed, and act as the companys sole liaison with these providers. Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust. Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Law, from a top-tier school desired At least 7+ years of proven experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment Working knowledge of contract law and data protection regulations Relevant experience in contract management Experience with corporate governance and corporate secretarial duties Experience working in the BPO/Shared Services sector preferred, but not required Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented and strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in MS Office
