Job Description

As a Legal Head with a 9-year-old company in VC located in Hauz Khas, you will be responsible for leading the legal function and overseeing all internal and in-house legal and regulatory affairs of the organization. Your key responsibilities will include: - Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Share Purchase Agreements (SPA), Shareholders Agreements (SHA), and Term Sheets. - Conducting and managing legal Due Diligence (DD) for investments, acquisitions, and partnerships. - Ensuring compliance with corporate, securities, and investment laws. In addition, you will be managing contract and agreement processes by structuring, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts and legal documents to protect company interests and ensure compliance with legal standards. You will also provide legal support in fund management, including investor relations, structuring, and regulatory compliance. As a Legal Head, you will play a crucial role in stakeholder management by advising the leadership team and board on legal risks, rights, and responsibilities. You will maintain relationships with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also involve identifying, evaluating, and managing legal risks impacting the organization, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance frameworks. You will build and lead a high-performing legal team aligned with the organization's strategic goals, mentoring and guiding junior legal professionals to foster a culture of compliance, integrity, and performance. Qualifications and Experience required for this role include a Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) with a preference for a Masters degree (LLM). You should have at least 6+ years of progressive legal experience, with a substantial background in corporate law, M&A, venture funding, and compliance. A proven track record in leading legal functions in high-growth, complex environments will be advantageous for this position.,
