Legal Counsel

This role is a replacement position covering a broad range of corporate/commercial and operational matters, offering a rare opportunity to gain valuable corporate commercial experience in a fast-paced start-up environment. As Legal Counsel, you will handle all legal matters related to the company's operations in India and assist on regional matters as needed. Your responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating customer contracts, vendor agreements, and employment contracts. You will also ensure that the business complies with relevant regulatory requirements, including data protection and privacy laws. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal in Singapore, you will work with a team of high-caliber colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Your key responsibilities will include drafting and reviewing contracts, assisting in negotiations with customers and vendors, advising on legal matters related to employee issues and compliance, staying updated on regulatory changes, conducting legal research, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders. You will also handle other legal matters as required by the company. To qualify for this role, you should have a law degree from an accredited institution and be admitted to practice in India. You should have 3-6 years of experience in corporate law, contract law, and/or regulatory compliance, with an understanding of software-as-a-service as an international business. Strong written and verbal communication skills, negotiation and drafting skills, analytical and research skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential.
