About The Role
As a Lecturer in Culture and Creative Technologies, you will play a vital role in establishing and shaping the academic life of the new Mumbai campus. We welcome applicants with expertise in Culture and Creative Technologies, particularly in areas such as Creative Leadership and Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Branding and Audience Engagement in the Arts, Content Creation and Development, and the Management of Creative Technologies. We are also interested in candidates with backgrounds in Cultural Studies, Creative Technologies, Media, Film Studies, Television, Script writing, Storytelling, Music, and Journalism . This role is particularly well-suited to early-career academics who ar e eager to develop a strong teaching and research portfolio while contributing to an international venture grounded in the values of academic excellence, cultural engagement, and societal impact.
You will conduct research under the supervision of senior colleagues and contribute to the production of high-quality research outputs. Additionally, you will assist in identifying and developing new research areas, including preparing proposals for independent or collaborative projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules related to culture, media, and the creative technologies.
- Develop inclusive and research-informed teaching materials and practices.
- Assess student work and provide feedback in line with university standards, supporting their academic progress and wellbeing.
- Supervise student projects and dissertations and participate in academic advising.
- Conduct independent or collaborative research with the potential to publish in reputable academic venues.
- Contribute to programme development, module coordination, and other administrative duties within the department.
Qualifications And Experience
- PhD (or near completion) in Creative Technologies/ Cultural Studies/Arts/ Media/ Film Studies/ Television /Scriptwriting/ story telling /Music/ Journalism or a closely related field, from a recognised institution, or equivalent professional experience.
- Specialist knowledge in one or more areas relevant to the creative and cultural technologies.
- Up to 3 years of formal teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Demonstrated potential to contribute to high-quality research, evidenced through publications or equivalent outputs.
- Experience in developing and delivering teaching materials and assessments. Ability to collaborate effectively with senior colleagues and contribute positively to the academic community.
