Responsible for quality & delivery of the reports. Adhere to the defined process but with a continual improvement mindset. Cost Optimization & Resource Planning Identify opportunities to reduce production costs , optimize manpower utilization , and improve resource allocation . Build and maintain models for cost per unit analysis , machine ROI, and cost-benefit assessments for new technology or layout changes. Drive process automation initiatives using lean automation principles and industrial engineering tools. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Champion Lean , Kaizen , 5S , TPM , and Six Sigma principles across departments. Set up Industrial Engineering dashboards for key KPIs: OEE, takt time, cycle time, downtime analysis, etc. Work with production, quality, maintenance, and SCM teams to implement process improvements and track savings. Data-Driven Decision Making Analyze plant-level data (MES SAP, Excel, Power BI) to provide actionable insights on equipment efficiency, production flow, and process gaps. Prepare and present monthly strategic reviews to top management. Integrate benchmarking practices across different departments and customers. Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration Mentor a team of Industrial Engineers, interns, and supervisors. Coordinate with SCM, Design, Maintenance, and Quality teams to implement new processes, capacity expansions, or technology adoption. Lead IE involvement in new product introduction (NPI) and process trials. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Plant Productivity (Units per Shift, per Manpower) Automation OEE Improvement % Cost Savings Achieved via IE Initiatives Layout Optimization/Space Saving % Reduction in Cycle Time / Setup Time Lean Projects Implemented & Sustained Adherence to Time Study and Manpower Norms Strategic Contribution to Capex Projects or Layout Changes Skills & Competencies Expertise in Industrial Engineering tools , Lean Manufacturing , Capacity Planning , and Plant Layout Design Proficiency in AutoCAD/Visio , Excel (advanced) , and Power BI or ERP systems (SAP preferred) Excellent analytical and project management skills Strong interpersonal and cross-functional leadership skills Ability to drive large-scale change management initiatives Preferred Background Experience in metal fabrication, electrical components manufacturing , or high-mix low-volume production . Exposure to supplier process audits , subcontractor efficiency management , and productivity benchmarking .
