Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

The operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across all departments to enhance productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety. The role focuses on implementing lean methodologies, mentoring teams, and fostering a culture of structured problem-solving. The position involves leading key improvement projects, optimizing processes, and ensuring measurable business impact. This role requires a proactive leader with strong analytical, facilitation, and coaching skills to sustain excellence across the site..

Key Roles :

  • Act as the Site Lead for Operational Excellence, driving continuous improvement and delivering measurable value to site performance.
  • Facilitate manufacturing excellence initiatives across all departments to enhance Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety (PQCDS).Identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Lead Focused Improvement Teams and Daily Management Teams, ensuring measurable improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).Train and mentor teams in structured problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
  • Implement daily management tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, Pareto Charts, Why-Why Analysis, and FMEA to build a culture of audit readiness across the plant.
  • Organize Kaizen events and KPI competitions and share best practices across plants within the organization.
  • Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for critical products to optimize lead time, reduce WIP, and improve value-adding time.
  • Drive cost reduction and productivity optimization initiatives annually across all departments.
  • Conduct Lean Six Sigma White Belt and Yellow Belt training programs and mentor employees on improvement projects.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and conduct reviews to monitor progress at various organizational levels.
  • Facilitate effective group meetings and discussions by understanding group dynamics and driving results-oriented conversations.
  • Demonstrate high self-motivation, instill motivation in teams, and take ownership of learning and promoting new concepts across the organization.

Preferred candidate profile

Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the

    pharmaceutical or chemical industry

  • Proven track record in driving

    continuous improvement

  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and leadership skills with the ability to coach and influence cross-functional teams.
