Job Description

As a Lean Leader at SMC, Ltd., your role involves effectively implementing and managing lean tools, systems, and principles across site operations. You will interact with personnel at all levels throughout the manufacturing facility to develop and deploy lean methodologies. Your hands-on expertise, leadership, and recommendations will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead continuous improvement projects in various functional areas, coordinating cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions. - Apply Lean methodologies, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve operational efficiency. - Conduct value stream mapping, time studies, and process flow analyses to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities. - Facilitate Kaizen events, 5S programs, and root cause problem-solving sessions. - Develop and maintain standardized work, work instructions, and visual management systems. - Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, yield, cycle time, and defect rates. - Train and coach employees on Lean principles and continuous improvement culture. - Participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. **Qualifications Required:** - Demonstrated ability to lead change and motivate teams to achieve business goals. - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred. - Experience applying Lean tools, systems, and principles. - Strong analytical, project management, and facilitation skills. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, Kanban, Poka-Yoke. - Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma methodology. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Proficiency in tools like MS Office, AutoCAD, and statistical analysis software.
