Architect - Hardware System Development

Honeywell Thermal Solutions is seeking a Senior professional in Systems Engineering with a strong background in Hardware development for our work developing burner management and control systems. This will be the key technical leader in the line of business locally with good visibility in the global organization. Your responsibilities are
- Architect products at System/ Solution level with SIL2/SIL3 safety levels
- Determining evolving needs to be realized in hardware designs
- Collaborate with Firmware, Mechnical and Software engineers, have a system level understanding and ownership on Flame scanners & Burner Management Systems
- Ensuring that the high level requirements from offering are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined into the system design.
- Performing cost–benefit analyses to determine the best methods or approaches for meeting the hardware requirements; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components / modules.
- Partitioning large hardware systems into successive layers of subsystems and components, each of which can be handled by respective domain expert and you act as a system level integrator of the deliverables.
- Ensuring that a robust hardware architecture is developed and compliant with regulatory requirements
- Generating a set of acceptance test requirements, together with the designers, test engineers , and the user, which determine that all of the high level hardware requirements have been met
- Generating products specifications, sketches, models , an early user's manual, and prototypes to keep the user and the engineers constantly up to date and in agreement on the system to be provided as it is evolving.
- Make technical proposals and present at CTOs and VPGMs levels

Required Skills:
- Good executive presence, Ability to present updates to Sr. Leadership
- Excellent teamwork in a dynamic project environment
- Solid experience in hands on Hardware engineering skillsets such as design, schematic capture and PCB layout design software
- Expert in analog design (monolithic and linear amplifier, switching power supply, filters, etc.
- Expert in digital hardware design (ARM Cortex-A series/ M series, DSP etc.);
- Experience in WIFI, Bluetooth preferred.
- Excellent English (fluent in spoken and written).
- Programming C, assembler, advantageous C++ and other languages is preferred. Exposed to STM development environments
Knowledge and Skills in resolving EMC issues.

- Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced electrical engineering methods and tools

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 15+ years embedded product development with a focus on Hardware Engineering
- Experience in Firmware implementation, liaison at system level
- Experience is getting the products certified for compliance e.g. SIL, UL, CSA etc.
- Knowledge of instrumentation like controllers, valves, flame scanners, thermal processes will be added advantage
- Knowledge in the field of gas trains will be desirable.
