This role is responsible for overseeing the execution of logistics operations across the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals set by the Head of Logistics. This role acts as a bridge between strategic planning and operational execution, driving cost efficiency, process compliance, vendor performance, and team coordination across logistics functions including transportation, RDC/MDC operations, and placement.

Operational Leadership
- Lead day-to-day logistics operations including transportation, RDC/MDC operations / management, and placement execution.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods across the supply chain network.
- Monitor logistics KPIs and ensure achievement of targets in line with business goals.
Cost & Efficiency Management
- Track logistics costs and ensure adherence to budgeted Rs/KL across routes and operations.
- Drive initiatives to improve loadability, truck mix, and reduce in-transit damages and shortages.
- Support implementation of cost-saving strategies and process improvements.
Team & Goal Alignment
- Cascade logistics goals to functional teams and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate with placement, freight, and RDC teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Conduct regular reviews and performance assessments of team members.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee vendor performance and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
- Support vendor onboarding and ensure compliance with SOPs and service standards.
- Facilitate coordination between internal stakeholders and external partners.
Process Compliance & Technology Adoption
- Ensure adherence to logistics SOPs across all nodes and functions.
- Drive implementation and usage of Transport Management System (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other digital tools.
- Promote continuous improvement through audits, reviews, and adoption of best practices.
Reporting & Communication
- Share regular MIS and operational updates with the Head – Logistics.
- Highlight cost overruns, operational bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
