Job Description

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to lead the Design Vertical. This is a leadership

role with full ownership of product design language, innovation pipeline, and team

development. The candidate will be responsible for building the design vision and executing it at

scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Vision & Strategy:

Define Brand design philosophy for kids’ products and ensure consistency across categories.

Set the aesthetic direction (line art, vibrant colors, child-friendly ergonomics) for all products.

Continuously evolve the brandbook and design standards.

Consumer & Market Understanding:

Research consumer needs, safety concerns, and usability behaviors in kids’ products.

Translate insights into product design that balances function, form, and fun.

Benchmark against global kids’ brands and introduce best practices.

Product Development & Execution:

Lead end-to-end design process: concept sketches → CAD modeling → prototyping →

production-ready designs.

Deliver multiple new products every month without compromising quality.

Collaborate with sourcing, manufacturing, and marketing teams for smooth execution.

Leadership & Vertical Ownership:

Build and head the Industrial Design vertical

Hire, manage, and mentor industrial designers, illustrators, and design interns.

Set up processes and pipelines for continuous product launches.

Drive cross-functional collaboration with marketing, R&D, and operations.

Brand & Business Impact

Ensure every design decision strengthens brand identity and market positioning.

Innovate with materials, ergonomics, and packaging suited for kids.

Take initiative to propose new product lines and business opportunities from a design

perspective.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in Industrial / Product Design, with leadership exposure.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating consumer product launches (kids category preferred).
  • Expertise in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, etc.) + Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proven ability to lead a design team and manage multiple product verticals.
  • Excellent sense of aesthetics, ergonomics, safety, and child-friendly design.
  • Strong ownership mindset, able to set up design systems and processes from scratch.
  • Degree in Industrial Design / Product Design from a reputed institute (NID, IDC, MITID,
