Role Description
Job Title: Team Leader – Post Trade (Corporate Actions)
Role Summary
As a Team Leader, you will manage complex corporate actions and coordinate with internal departments such as Investment, Compliance, Tax, and Accounting, as well as external stakeholders. You will lead a team of Analysts, ensuring operational excellence, timely execution, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrutinize and identify new corporate action event sources from multiple custodians and data vendors.
- Create and manage composite corporate action records, aligning options across custodians.
- Review and approve corporate action records and instructions created by team members.
- Communicate corporate action event details to the investment team within agreed timelines.
- Manage Fund Manager decisions on elective corporate actions.
- Reconcile holdings between custodians and internal systems; resolve or escalate discrepancies.
- Prepare, authorize, and release instructions to custodians; ensure timely and accurate transmission.
- Accurately book stock and cash entitlements related to corporate actions.
- Monitor compliance throughout the corporate action lifecycle; maintain proper documentation.
- Oversee resolution of queries received through corporate action mailboxes; ensure prompt responses.
- Proactively escalate potential issues and investigate stock and cash breaks.
- Ensure all critical daily tasks are completed, signed off, and reported accurately.
- Assist management with performance appraisals, policy enforcement, and team development.
- Provide specialist training and contribute to department-wide initiatives.
- Ensure full and timely disclosure of identified issues with appropriate documentation.

Must Have Skills And Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in corporate actions, handling both mandatory and voluntary events (dividends, stock splits, rights issues, mergers/acquisitions, spin-offs, tender offers, share buybacks, liquidations) within Custodian or Asset Manager environments.
- Strong technical proficiency in end-to-end corporate actions processing and risk management.
- Proven ability to execute processes independently, take ownership, and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience working with key asset classes such as Equities, Bonds, Unit Trusts, and CFDs.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with experience conducting root cause analysis.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across internal and external parties.
- Outstanding time management and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- Leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and team development.
- Deep understanding of operational and compliance risks in corporate actions.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Good To Have Skills And Experience
- Experience using platforms like Aladdin or similar asset management systems for corporate actions and income processing.
- Broader banking or asset management experience with comprehensive knowledge of the asset lifecycle.
- Experience with Private Assets and Leveraged Loans.
- Relevant industry qualifications such as the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC), CFA Institute Investment Foundations, or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational risk.
- Commitment to continuous learning and openness to feedback.
- Ability to foster innovation and promote a culture of change within the team.
