Lead I - Asset Servicing

As a Post Trade Team Leader in Chennai with over 6 years of experience, you will be leading a team and overseeing the execution of complex corporate actions across various asset classes. Your role involves collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, risk mitigation, and team development in a dynamic environment. Your expertise in corporate actions, analytical mindset, and strong leadership capabilities are crucial for this role. Your key responsibilities will include: - Scrutinizing and identifying new corporate action events - Managing composite corporate action records - Reviewing and approving team members" work - Communicating timely details to the investment team - Reconciling holdings and preparing/transmitting instructions - Monitoring delivery and confirmations, booking entitlements - Ensuring compliance and maintaining documentation - Addressing queries, escalating risks, and resolving booking breaks In addition to operational tasks, you will be involved in team leadership and development by: - Supporting performance appraisals and policy adherence - Conducting staff evaluations and coaching analysts - Leading training efforts and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation The asset classes you will manage include equities, bonds, unit trusts, Contracts for Difference (CFDs), leveraged loans, and private assets. Mandatory skills for this role include extensive experience in end-to-end corporate actions, understanding of asset lifecycle and event types, risk management proficiency, operational knowledge of various asset classes, leadership experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with reconciliation tools and processing systems. Good-to-have skills include exposure to private assets and leveraged loans, relevant certifications, broader banking or asset management experience, familiarity with continuous improvement frameworks and risk-control best practices, and adaptability to new technologies and process automation.
