Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end electrical system design including schematics, power distribution, control panels, and wiring diagrams.
  • Develop electrical architecture for products, machines, or facilities in compliance with IEC/IS/UL/CE standards.
  • Perform load calculations, circuit protection selection, grounding & earthing design, and cable sizing.
  • Lead PCB design reviews, power electronics integration (optional depending on company domain).
  • Oversee control system design.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams for seamless product integration.
  • Review and approve electrical drawings in AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN / SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Evaluate and select electrical components such as drives, motors, breakers, relays, sensors, and power supplies.
  • Lead prototype development, testing, and validation.
  • Troubleshoot system-level electrical issues and guide root cause analysis.
  • Support vendor evaluation, BOM creation, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulatory certifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.
  • Manage project timelines, reviews, documentation, and quality deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in electrical design, industrial automation, robotics, or product development.
  • Expertise in electrical circuits, power systems, control systems, and industrial safety standards.
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN / SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens/Allen Bradley/Schneider/Mitsubishi) is a plus.
  • Experience with power electronics, servo drives, VFDs, and motion systems preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with system testing, instrumentation, and diagnostics.
  • Strong understanding of EMI/EMC, grounding, and electrical protection design.
  • Familiar with CE/UL compliance, panel building standards, IEC 60204-1, NFPA 79.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in Robotics / Electric Vehicles / Semiconductor / Industrial Automation / OEM industry.
  • Knowledge of EtherCAT, CAN, Modbus, Profinet communication protocols.
  • Exposure to ISO 13849 (Functional Safety) or IEC 61508.
  • Experience with project management tools and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Prior experience leading an engineering team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
