Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Solution Architect
with a
strong foundation in Data Engineering
and
hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud
to design and deliver a
scalable Digital Twin platform
.The ideal candidate will combine deep
data architecture skills
,
cloud-native design
, and
IoT/real-time data understanding
to architect the next generation of digital twin solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design
- Design the end-to-end Digital Twin architecture — from data ingestion to visualization and APIs.
- Define the “Meta Twin” data model, schemas, and coordinate systems to represent physical assets digitally.
- Establish architecture standards and patterns for scalability, performance, and security.
- Map the complete data lifecycle — ingestion → processing → storage → API → analytics.
- Technology & Implementation
- Architect and implement solutions using Azure Cloud Services — Azure Digital Twins, IoT Hub, Event Hubs, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, and Synapse.
- Integrate open-source technologies (Kafka, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes) where relevant.
- Define and enforce API contracts, messaging standards, and event-driven patterns.
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance are built into every design layer.
- Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with Data Engineering, AI/ML, DevOps, and Product teams to align architecture with business and technical goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and engineers.
- Create comprehensive architecture documentation — diagrams, specifications, and reference implementations.
- Present architectural choices, trade-offs, and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years in software and data architecture, including strong hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect.
- 3+ years in architecting or implementing Digital Twin / IoT / real-time data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud (Data Factory, Digital Twins, Event Hubs, IoT Hub, Cosmos DB, Functions).
- Expertise in data modeling, streaming pipelines, and microservices-based design.
- Deep understanding of event-driven systems, real-time analytics, and data integration patterns.
- Hands-on with Kafka, PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to produce architecture blueprints, data flow diagrams, and API documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Industrial IoT, Smart Infrastructure, or Manufacturing ecosystems.
- Exposure to AI/ML integration in data-driven or simulation-based platforms.
- Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or equivalent.
- Familiarity with 3D or spatial data modelling concepts.
